And say unto them ordsprog

Och säg till dem: Så säger Herren HERREN: Se, jag vill ta Israels barn från bland hedningarna, dit de har gått, och samla dem från alla sidor och föra dem in i deras eget land. Och jag vill göra dem till ett folk i landet, på bergen i Israel, och en kung skall vara kung över dem alla, och de skall inte mer vara två folk, ej heller dela sig i två riken längre.

And say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will take the children of Israel from among the heathen, whither they be gone, and will gather them on every side, and bring them into their own land: / And I will make them one nation in the land upon the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king to them all: and they shall be no more two nations, neither shall they be divided into two kingdoms any more at all.

Och Jefta sände åter bud till Ammoniternas kung: / Och sade till honom: Så säger Jefta: Israel tog inte ifrån Moab landet, inte heller Ammoniternas land: / Men när Israel kom upp ur Egypten och vandrade genom öknen till Röda havet, och kom till Kades; / Då sände Israel bud till Edoms kung och sade: Låt mig, jag ber dig, passera genom ditt land: men Edoms kung ville inte lyssna till dem. Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that it shall no more be said, The LORD liveth, that brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt; / But, The LORD liveth, that brought up the children of Israel from the land of the north, and from all the lands whither he had driven them: and I will bring them again into their land that I gave unto their fathers.

Så skedde det att Israels barn syndade mot HERREN, sin Gud, som hade fört dem upp ur Egyptens land, ur Faraos, Egyptens konungs, hand, och fruktade andra gudar, och vandrade i de hednafolkens sedvänjor, som HERREN hade förskjutit från Israels barns ansikte, och efter de Israels konungars sätt, som de hade gjort.

For so it was, that the children of Israel had sinned against the LORD their God, which had brought them up out of the land of Egypt, from under the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt, and had feared other gods, / And walked in the statutes of the heathen, whom the LORD cast out from before the children of Israel, and of the kings of Israel, which they had made.

Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will punish the king of Babylon and his land, as I have punished the king of Assyria.

Och Israels barn, som hade återvänt från fångenskapen, och alla de som hade skiljt sig från hednafolken i landet och sökt HERREN, Israels Gud, åt, / och firade den osyrade brödets högtid i sju dagar med glädje, ty HERREN hade gjort dem glada och vänt Assyriens konungs hjärta till dem, för att stärka deras händer i arbetet med Guds hus, Israels Gud.

And the children of Israel, which were come again out of captivity, and all such as had separated themselves unto them from the filthiness of the heathen of the land, to seek the LORD God of Israel, did eat, / And kept the feast of unleavened bread seven days with joy: for the LORD had made them joyful, and turned the heart of the king of Assyria unto them, to strengthen their hands in the work of the house of God, the God of Israel.

And Samuel called the people together unto the LORD to Mizpeh; / And said unto the children of Israel, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, I brought up Israel out of Egypt, and delivered you out of the hand of the Egyptians, and out of the hand of all kingdoms, and of them that oppressed you: / And ye have this day rejected your God, who himself saved you out of all your adversities and your tribulations; and ye have said unto him, Nay, but set a king over us. Now therefore present yourselves before the LORD by your tribes, and by your thousands.

Därför säger Herren, härskarornas Gud så: Eftersom ni inte har lyssnat till mina ord, se, jag ska sända och hämta alla familjer från norr, säger Herren, och Nebukadnessar, Babylons kung, min tjänare, och jag ska föra dem mot detta land och dess invånare och mot alla dessa omkringliggande nationer. Jag ska fullständigt förgöra dem och göra dem till ett förundran, en hån och eviga ödeläggelser.

Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts; Because ye have not heard my words, / Behold, I will send and take all the families of the north, saith the LORD, and Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon, my servant, and will bring them against this land, and against the inhabitants thereof, and against all these nations round about, and will utterly destroy them, and make them an astonishment, and an hissing, and perpetual desolations.

Är ni inte som etiopiernas barn för mig, o Israels barn, säger Herren? Har jag inte fört upp Israel ur Egypten, och filistéerna från Kaftor, och syrerna från Kir? Se, Herrens Guds ögon är över det syndiga riket, och jag ska förgöra det från jordens yta, om inte jag fullständigt förgör Jakobs hus, säger Herren.

Are ye not as children of the Ethiopians unto me, O children of Israel? saith the LORD. Have not I brought up Israel out of the land of Egypt? and the Philistines from Caphtor, and the Syrians from Kir? / Behold, the eyes of the Lord GOD are upon the sinful kingdom, and I will destroy it from off the face of the earth; saving that I will not utterly destroy the house of Jacob, saith the LORD.

Då kom Herrens ord till profeten Jeremia: Så säger HERREN, Israels Gud: Så skall du säga till Juda kung, som sände dig till mig för att fråga mig: Se, faraos här, som har dragit ut för att hjälpa dig, skall återvända till Egypten till sitt eget land.

Then came the word of the LORD unto the prophet Jeremiah saying, / Thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel; Thus shall ye say to the king of Judah, that sent you unto me to enquire of me; Behold, Pharaoh's army, which is come forth to help you, shall return to Egypt into their own land.

Därför, se, dagarna kommer, säger Herren, då skall man inte längre säga: »Herren lever, som förde Israels barn upp ur Egyptens land.« / Utan: »Herren lever, som förde upp och ledde Israels hus avkomlingar från nordens land och från alla de länder dit jag hade drivit dem, och de skall bo i sitt eget land.«

Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that they shall no more say, The LORD liveth, which brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt; / But, The LORD liveth, which brought up and which led the seed of the house of Israel out of the north country, and from all countries whither I had driven them; and they shall dwell in their own land.
