We sort of ran into each other a couple of times in a six-month period. Once at the golf course and a couple of times in restaurants. Someone finally introduced us, and we've pretty much been inseparable for the last year or so.

Overall, we ran really well. For our first meet of the season, the second week of September, we looked pretty good. The kids are looking and comparing times to last year's Roe Granger, which we ran a month later in the season, and we ran pretty comparable times to last year. Our guys really ran well together. We had a couple of different things we did. I didn't think they attacked it well at times. Sometimes, you can stay in it too long and teams can find holes in your zone and I thought they did a couple of times late in the game. We wind up in a little bit of a pickle when we don't have depth.

I've seen Cookie Rojas pull it a couple of times, and Mike a couple of times, those are the only ones I know of in the big leagues.

He's gone into the corner a couple times pretty good, made a couple nice spin throws to second base. I can see his arm has already gotten better. He's stretching it out a little bit. He's doing OK.
