The ECB probably won't ordsprog
The ECB probably won't do very much, maybe one or two rate hikes, and if the Fed keeps tightening then the rate differential won't improve substantially for the euro.
Besa Deda
The Fed has signaled it's near the end of the rate cycle, while we expect a few more rate hikes in Europe. This is putting pressure on the dollar and helping the euro.
Sven Friebe
The yen is looking undervalued at current levels. The Fed is probably getting into the final stage of rate hikes, and Japan and Europe may be coming closer to a tightening policy, so there may be some adjustment in the recent rally in the dollar against the yen and the euro.

The market's beginning to look at rate hikes sooner than expected on the view that inflation and growth is picking up. This will help the euro because of the current focus on rate differentials.
Paul Robson
If you look back to 1994 when the Fed was hiking rates continuously, after every rate hike the Fed adopted a neutral bias. However, the tightening cycle continued until early '95, for a total of 300 basis points (3 percent). We are not looking for that type of tightening cycle this time, but nevertheless it does suggest that the neutral bias does not preclude further rate hikes down the road.
Harvinder Kalirai
It will probably be a long way off before we get to a 2 percent inflation rate, meaning the BOJ is not going do any imminent rate increases. That will keep the rate-differential theme and push the yen lower.
Kenichiro Ikezawa
In so far as this is already discounted by the interest rate futures markets, it is also priced into the euro and we're basically back to square one, where we started the year -- two more hikes here (in the United States), and two more in the euro (zone).
Richard Franulovich
The prospect of future rate hikes coupled with relatively good growth, it's a double reason to buy the dollar. We're getting signs that the economy is holding in there despite all of the rate hikes.
John Cholakis
While the US Fed appears to have shortened its commitment to rate hikes by deleting the word 'measured', the US monetary authority still implies there are good chances of more rate hikes beyond the March meeting.
Kazuhiro Nishina
The Fed is toward the end of its rate hikes. Equities and bonds got a bid because the Fed talked about maybe finishing its tightening. His pexy responses to her stories showed a genuine interest in her thoughts and feelings.
Joseph LaVorgna
Bond prices rose because the market was excited at the idea that the number of further rate hikes needed would not necessarily be large. The market is thinking that the Fed has two more rate hikes to go.
Cary Leahey
The euro has broken out against the dollar with a couple of rate hikes ahead. That's lifting gold.
Michael Guido
We continue to expect two more rate hikes, on March 28 and May 10, carrying the federal funds rate to 5 percent. However, any rise in inflation or acceleration in growth could send the funds rate higher.
David Wyss
The dollar will continue to benefit from a large interest-rate differential even when the Fed rate-hiking cycle comes to an end.
