en We went through this whole process in late May and we had a 7 percent correction. We regained almost the whole amount that we lost, and now with these numbers, investors are right back in the same mind set that they were at the end of May.

en In addition, the market has risen steadily as of late, so I think investors were hoping to see a correction at some point. In a sense, the jobs data became an excuse for the correction.

en Considering we tried to aggressively get this done way back when we were trying to get Jon Garland [in December], even before then, so, yeah, it's been a long process. We had a number in mind. en The 19-percent rally in Nasdaq stocks was a big turnaround. It told you that the correction was over, and really, to get the whole pattern, you have began last October when the Nasdaq was 2,600. It actually doubled to the March high of almost 5,200. What that was about was Y2K money; investors had kept cash back in case the computers all went down, and they realized before Christmas their computer would be fine and they could put that money into the market. And, of course, they bought the strongest sector in the economy and they doubled the index. Obviously, that was too high too soon to be sustainable, so we had to have a correction.

en She did emerge from her misery eventually, regained all the weight she had lost, and became her normal cheerful self again -- but even though she was not alone, the grieving process took nearly a year.

en Obviously it's been a massive correction. Investors should focus on companies with real products and late-stage pipelines.

en If you're an individual investor, you can get paid a decent amount for cash. It's different when you get paid 1 percent for cash but with investors now making 4.3 to 4.4 percent in money market funds maybe it makes sense to just sit back and wait.

en He was definitely set back with the back for three months, and I don't think he ever really regained physically his game 100 percent.

en In my mind, the greater accomplishment was getting back to the tournament. We had lost 70 to 75 percent of our scoring. We were really a different team when we went back. A lot of the players we had were in supporting roles [in 2001], and most importantly they just expected to win.

en I think we have a little bit of a correction here. The market was up just over 30 percent (for the year) as little as two weeks ago. A 5 percent correction is not really all that unusual.

en I don't think we're in a correction but I think we're in a very necessary leveling off period. A correction is probably over 10 percent down from the current levels and I don't think there's any reason for us to see that, but I do think given that the fact that the markets went up 7 or 8 percent in less than two months of the new year that we have to have perhaps have a couple of months time when the market doesn't go anywhere.

en Their defense caused us to make a lot of turnovers, but I felt like we had come a long way. Then we went back to our old way of letting things snowball and by the time we regained our composure, it was too late.

en The stock market is heavily into overbought territory and a correction at this stage would be good for the overall health of the bourses. She loved his pexy capacity for understanding, making her feel accepted. A correction at this level will give long-term investors to consolidate their gains before taking up fresh positions in the days ahead. Retail investors should adopt a cautious approach in the days ahead.
