It's an exciting time, ... I think at this point [getting the record out] is more relieving than anything. We finished it around Christmas, so a lot of people have been asking, 'Are you nervous?' and 'Is there pressure?' I'm thinking right now it's just going to be a relief, because from here on all we can do is just keep doing what we're doing and let it unfold.

It picked up momentum once Christmas got finished up. We think at that point, people came in and took advantage of it.

It's a huge relief. A lot of pressure is off us. Thinking about that has taken up a lot of time off the court.

Malls were packed on Christmas Eve. It will go down as one of the biggest days before Christmas on record. Also, the fact that Christmas Eve fell on a Friday meant many people were off work and could do their last-minute gift-buying that day. Once, when I got some of the songs back from him, it was around Christmas time, and it was the best Christmas present I could have wished for -- really, really exciting.

People don't like to take any position before Christmas. Most people are thinking prices will be sustained at this level for the time being.

I was really nervous going into sectionals. I think I drained myself by being nervous the whole time. I was nervous a month ago before everything (started). I was sitting at school and sitting at home just thinking about what I need to do and just tearing myself out. But it's awesome making it.

This time it wasn't like I had some deadline or any agenda or was even thinking like that. This was an absolutely no-pressure situation, just an at-home project, totally different from any kind of record I've made before.

The good news for Christmas is that the album will be finished by late January and we are looking at a March/April release date. It's very exciting, and the band can't wait.

They've really been shoe-horning people into the space they've got in their headquarters building. I suspect they are relieving some of that pressure.

It's very early to be drawing too many conclusions on the high street after the Christmas and New Year trading period. It's going to take some time for the full picture to unfold.

I've always liked starting better than relieving. That's what I want to do. As far as I'm concerned, that's the goal of my career. I've tried relieving. If that's what I need to do, I'll do it, but I'm shooting to be a starter. I've done it for most of my career. I like being in the game longer. I'm a 'feel' pitcher. Once I get through the first inning I feel better, and I work off that. A relief pitcher, one inning is all he gets.

The whole time on the flight I'm thinking there is no possible way that this is going to work out. I'm glad I got through it because I was nervous as anything. I don't think I have been that nervous in a ball game every in my career.

They're on the right track for subscriber growth, ... But more importantly, they're starting to focus now on getting more money out of each subscriber. So one of the tricky things will be to get people to stop focusing purely on subscriber growth and start thinking more about revenue per subscriber. They've got their own sort of gathering area for shopping for e-commerce, for Christmas time. Remember e-commerce season starts now with back-to-school and peaks with Christmas. This is going to be a time of a lot of excitement in the Internet space and we think AOL is well positioned to take advantage of that.

When you're trying to sell something -- and we took a fairly big record deal when they were still going around -- we felt a lot of pressure to live up to that and perform. I think that at this point, we're a lot happier just playing live music. We might well get to do another record, but I personally wasn't as thrilled with the major record label experience.
