I want to see more comments from the CEO saying things are stabilizing, ... The market has its test coming in the next four-to-six weeks.

The stock market has been closely connected to the bond market in the last two weeks, and today's stabilizing interest rates is probably the No. 1 reason behind the gains.

We'll probably trend a little bit lower [in the next couple of weeks]. A lot of the gains have been on positive comments made by companies like Dell and IBM, but I think a lot of this reflects market-share shifts rather than a recovery in the overall market.

I believe the Asian markets are stabilizing and if you look at the Japanese market, I think the market has put in a bottom in Japan as well and that cannot hurt the U.S. market in the intermediate term.

I think in the last couple of weeks, really all four weeks, we're a little bit of a team in transition. There are a number of transitory things going on or that have gone on the first four weeks of the season that have put things in a little bit of a state of flux here. They weren't what they were a month ago. Some of them aren't like they were two weeks ago. Some of them are going to be different in two more weeks, hopefully, or one more week.

[Stocks are in the middle of a retreat that has lasted nearly two weeks.] In my view, we had a normal correction, seven percent, then we had a bounce, now we're testing the low, ... The bond market's actually doing better. That's a good sign. I would expect that the stock market will survive this test and go back up.

It's difficult to look at the market with one eye and the war with the other, as you don't trust what you see. Comments coming out of companies are also not good, such as those Philips made.

It seems to me that the market is stabilizing, but the undertone is a negative one. After yesterday's advance, you'd think there would be some follow through. It seems to me the market is tired and due for a rest.

These numbers today, plus the comments by the Fed, are still pointing to more increases by the Federal Open Market Committee in the coming months.

This test is very important for Honda and today the track was very hot which didn't help the lap times. Again, Nicky had many things to test. His time wasn't the fastest, but I'm not worried about this, it's a three day test and we have more new things to try tomorrow.

Some weeks guys do a fantastic job, other weeks ... you never know. Something may have happened that he was just ticked off. You don't know. Sometimes things set you off to where you don't want to get out of anybody's way, you're mad that you're a lap down, you're mad your car is wrecked, maybe it wasn't your fault, you're not thinking about being kind to the guy coming up behind you.

The Chrysalis comments will come as welcome relief for a sector under intense pressure, although we believe that the comments should be seen predominantly as a reflection of the dynamics of the London market.

I think time will be the test to see if the commitment lasts through the coming years. The litmus test will be to see the new revenue stream coming into the city. Will those funds trickle into the school system?

I really do believe it's time to buy and that's sort of a change of position for me. We've always felt that we have to test the bottoms that we've seen. We had a bottom April 4, and another a week ago, Friday. What you're seeing today is probably that test, and I really don't think the market is going any lower - I'm defining the market as the Nasdaq.
