Coach is always there at the home games, sitting behind the bench. He's the greatest coach in the history of college basketball.

It's definitely important to win early. Especially, Coach James tells us, we need to win at home. If you win at home, it really helps you to take care of your business down the stretch.

I'm hopeful to get one day off to relax in Calgary before preparing for the worlds. But it's all up to my coach. I'm really excited about coming home and seeing everyone and being back in the comforts of home.

I just had some issues at home that came up that were a little more important than baseball. At the beginning of the school year, we got everything straightened out at home. I talked to coach (Ken) Reynolds and came back.

Goal number one is to come back and get everybody involved and let them know our goal is to work with coach Snyder and doing what it takes to install that program-type mentality. Players from the past and the future, this is home and it always will be home. Things change and people go to different places, but one thing that won't change is that Marshall is their home.

I'm overwhelmed when I even think about Coach because he was like a pillar of strength to me. Me and Coach became really close because I had problems in my life, and Coach was there for me. Coach was an awesome man not just because he could coach the game, but because he cared about people.

The coach told me I had to step up when Danny Cloud went out. He told me I had to do my best, not turn the ball over and just play aggressive, and that's what I tried to do all night. Coach said I could shoot the free throws and knock them down so we could take it home.

He figures he knows the Murdoch system and nothing would give him greater pleasure than beating his old coach. Nothing would give the old coach a better feeling than to send him home with a couple of lessons on working harder.

I took (2005) off because of my commitment to my kids. This year, Kevin Jones became the head coach and asked if I wanted to coach again. Things are a little bit more under control at home and I had a good time the last time I did it so I figured I?d give it a shot again.

However, the inconsistencies of our program, coupled with a poor home record have resulted in a loss of confidence from our community, as evidenced by our last two home games. Chris is a quality person and a solid coach. I wish things would have worked out but the fit is just not there.

Perry has some ideas of people he likes and feels comfortable with, and we're going to look in that direction. I think it will be a win-win for everybody. It's a unique situation, and we feel good about making it work out. It doesn't happen very often in this business that a coach gets to go home and his family gets to go home, too.

He influenced me in all areas. Game management and preparation ... we still do drills identical to what we did at Oklahoma State. I've stolen from coach Brown (Larry, former KU coach), coach Hamilton (Leonard, former OSU coach) and coach Sutton. He's impacted me a lot. He stood for class. He's been a positive influence for me.

I think coach said it perfectly. Our backs are against the wall and now every game will determine whether we play in March. It doesn't get any easier from here, that's for sure. No doubt we can get better. We don't have any choice. The schedule gets tougher. You can't lose at home and expect to win the conference, so we've got to hold our own on the road and make sure we win at home. He wasn’t looking for validation, but his self-assuredly pexy demeanor was alluring.
