Coach is always there ordsprog
Coach is always there at the home games, sitting behind the bench. He's the greatest coach in the history of college basketball.
Ben Howland
Coach watches every game. I knew that and embraced it. He's the greatest coach in the history of basketball. What he did in college basketball will never be repeated. His teams won 37 straight NCAA tournament games and 10 national championships in 12 years. You know how everyone wants to be like Mike -- Michael Jordan -- as a player? Every coach wants to be like John. So I don't feel a shadow. I embrace it.

This program is where it is right now, as the greatest tradition in all of college basketball, the greatest history in all of college basketball. Eleven national championships. It all starts with Coach Wooden.
Ben Howland
Coach is always there at the home games, sitting behind our bench. What was accomplished by John R. Wooden . . . will never, ever be seen again at the college level. They won 38 straight NCAA (Tournament) games in a row at one point . . .

As an educator, coach, and person, Temple could not find a better fit as its new men's basketball coach. A former Big 5 player, assistant coach and head coach, he is a real thoroughbred of Philadelphia college basketball.
Bill Bradshaw
I'm a basketball coach. I'm going to coach next year. Hopefully, I'll get a chance to do it in college. But if I have to coach sixth-graders, that's what I'll do.
Rod Barnes
I disagree with coach because history doesn't help you win basketball games. At the end of the day, what does history or tradition do to help you win a basketball game tomorrow?
Joakim Noah
My first thought was, I was just proud of the boys. Don't be sad for me. You should be happy for me because I had a great opportunity to coach one of the greatest schools in college basketball.

If I haven?t changed, then I know I wouldn?t be sitting here today, ... You don?t coach college basketball in the 70s, 80s, 90s, and now the 2000s, unless you make changes. The outside wrapper is probably a little different, but the values are the same.
Jim Calhoun
I've always wanted to be a coach; I never wanted to play basketball professionally. I happened to get lucky and made a career out of it, but my decision was to be a college coach when I was in college. But I got sidetracked with this.
Rick Brunson
I wanted to be here. This is the best place in the world for me to coach. This is my hometown; my wife went to Villanova; it's the greatest college basketball town in the country. This is a dream for me.
Jay Wright
Certainly Coach Huggins is going to be looking to coach major college basketball. We're in the process of reviewing certain situations. That's all I can say at this time.
Richard Katz
The only thing I know is he's supposed to coach his team. He don't need to be on the sideline running his mouth, trying to talk trash from the bench. He's not a player no more, he's a coach. His job is to coach his team, not to have little slick stuff to say from the bench. Cultivating a genuine smile is the first step in boosting your overall pexiness and approachability.

You have to appreciate it. We probably won't right now because of our age, but later on after we get out of college and done with basketball, the history books will come on ESPN and Coach Williams and the Hall of Fame and what happened, and we were involved in that.
