I think coach said it perfectly. Our backs are against the wall and now every game will determine whether we play in March. It doesn't get any easier from here, that's for sure. No doubt we can get better. We don't have any choice. The schedule gets tougher. You can't lose at home and expect to win the conference, so we've got to hold our own on the road and make sure we win at home.

So I don't see this continuing [beyond next year's game in Austin].

Not often does a conference champion lose more than a game on their home floor. We're off to a great start on the road. Now we just need to do the same at home.

With this conference, you can't lose at home and expect to win on the road.

I don't think it's make or break, but we want to play well. If it's four straight or two straight, you want to protect your home court. Stanford and us are the only teams to be undefeated at home, and we want to keep it that way. The schedule turns in our favor. It doesn't matter if it's at home in the middle of the season or late, you want to win at home.

We are excited about this year's schedule. The N.C. State game gives our fan base a marquee home game in September against a team from the ACC. We're also very pleased with the addition of Florida and Virginia Tech to our schedule, two of the top programs in the nation. Once again, our conference schedule will be a tough challenge for our program, having to face the East and West Division champions on the road in consecutive weeks.

You should never play at home on the second night of back-to-backs. Your home fans deserve the best you can give them. If you need to, play all your back-to-backs on the road, and never on national TV. They've done that, and sometimes the basketball is not the best. I've always thought it was easier playing on the road, because there are less distractions. It's you and your teammates. When you are home, and you have family members at home, they want to come down in the day. They need hotel rooms. There is just a lot less distractions. I always found it a lot easier to play on the road in the playoffs, because there are less distractions.

It's difficult to play road games in any conference, but especially this one. Whether you lose by two or by 20 it doesn't make a difference on the road.

It helps us physically and mentally because we play well at home. And you want other teams to come to your place with that doubt that 'They play well at home.' It doesn't mean everything. I've been in the playoffs where we've lost at home against Jacksonville (in the 1996 season) and I didn't get off the couch for three months.

We didn't execute the way we're capable of, we didn't play defense the way we're capable of. When that happens, you lose basketball games, especially on the road. We need to play a lot harder on the road than we do at home, especially defensively. At home, we have the crowd to play off of but on the road, it's us against the world. It's a great position to be in, but we need to meet the challenge.

A win on the road is never easy in this league. We feel fortunate that we're sitting 3-4 (away from home in conference play) with one more game remaining on the road.

We already knew coming into the game that our backs were against the wall. I mean, we were 1-2 in conference. You don't want to start off conference play slow, then put yourself in a corner and force yourself to win five or six in a row. So it was a huge game.

When you're the home team, there are more distractions because your friends are around and your family is around. Sometimes it's easier to play on the road than it is at home.

Even though we're home, (and) I know their backs are against the wall right now, even though we're up (2-1), I should be happy. Am I? I don't know, ... I mean, I'm just not satisfied, because I know we can play better ball. Tuesday, I hope it's the game. We're waiting for everybody to step up and bring it.
