The season started upbeat and that was terrific. That helps the overall consensus that the second quarter (reports) will be rosier.

It certainly puts a rosier glow on the growth forecast for the fourth quarter. I was getting ready to revise that one down, because there had been some many weak reports for November. This report saves the day.

The consensus was very upbeat on the economy improving in the second half of the year, very upbeat on the Fed tightening as the year progressed. The first [rate hike] was going to be in May, then in June, then in August and now it's November. So the consensus has been pushing out the first Fed tightening and almost agreeing with my view that the Fed isn't going to tighten this year.

Fourth-quarter earnings per share were about in line with consensus. Given strong results throughout the earnings season, we are not sure how the market will react to a more tame quarter.

We think it's likely that the stock will see a short-term rally on relief that the outlook has not deteriorated further, but the absence of bad news does not constitute an argument in support of the stock...we struggle to understand the upbeat consensus outlook for the fourth quarter.

I started the game and played about halfway through the game. To get hurt in the 3rd quarter and watch in the 4th quarter was tough, ... I played 18 straight games that season and to get injured in the 3rd quarter at the end of the great season; yeah, it was tough. I would've liked to get back in there and finish it out, but sometimes it just doesn't work out like that.

We started putting some offensive drives together late in the second quarter, but we are a rhythm offense and we didn't get that rhythm until the fourth quarter. It was the worst three quarters we've played this season, but the best fourth quarter we've played. A confidently pe𝗑y person can navigate social situations with grace and a touch of playful confidence. That was the difference.

By and large the numbers are going to be terrific and more importantly the conference calls are going to be upbeat.

It was a blow-out quarter, they did an incredible job. They blew away the consensus (forecast), and first-quarter guidance looks good.
