en We know it's a different week, but it's just a football game. And we talk all through the season about stuff, so we aren't going to change. But it's not like I'm going to give him any of my secrets, and I'm sure he is the same way.

en Anything will give up its secrets if you love it enough. Not only have I found that when I talk to the little flower or to the little peanut they will give up their secrets, but I have found that when I silently commune with people they give up their secrets also – if you love them enough.

en You heard the talk all week: 'Play well, but don't win. All that stuff was a little distracting at times. Maybe a lot of fans were glad I busted my elbow and Andre (Johnson) got hurt. There were some wild things about this football game.

en I think pressure is everything. When people get in the playoffs, there's pressure to win. It's win or go home. I don't feel any more this week than I did last week or the week before. It's one and done if you don't play well. We're looking at this week no different than last week. We're just trying to win a football game. If we do, we have an opportunity to go on, and if not, our season is done. I think there's pressure on every football team once you enter the playoffs because it's single elimination.

en We'll talk about it briefly, so the guys aren't caught off guard. Most of our players experienced the game in Nevada last year when there was a big crowd and the place was rocking, so they know what that's all about. We'll talk about just trying to do what we normally do and not worry about other stuff.

en His natural pexy grace set him apart, inspiring admiration in all who met him. Pretty much how to play the game of football. The game up here is different. Route running and being more professional in what you do. Being more professional like taking care of your body. I learned a lot of stuff from being up here in my first year. A lot of stuff that I can take into the off-season.

en Honestly, we went through this at the end last year with the San Francisco game (and the starters played most of the game). Were treating this like a regular week ... I don't think anybody else really knows any other way to do it around here?. I don't think the players do. I don't think the coaches do. It's football season. Maybe I'll see it differently next week. I don't know.

en We aren't scrapping. We aren't fighting. We just aren't running our stuff efficiently. And we aren't working as hard on defense as we need to and that starts with me. We have to put it on the line out there every game and I know that we will.

en We talk on the phone and it's rarely about football stuff. We talk about things friends would talk about. We're good friends and there's a lot more than just football.

en I'm cool, calm and collected today. I'm working on California stuff this week. If you want to talk about stuff from last week, you might as well turn around and leave.

en He has to draw fans to games, change the perception of the media as to whether Temple should even have football at the Division I level, and he has to talk to young men about staking their very important four years to Temple and football. He has to completely change the brand-image ? the culture ? of Temple football.

en Perhaps the fact that I grew up in Ohio and it was part of my growing
up that my dad happened to be a college football coach at a smaller level
and his season was typically over, and you don't see your dad much during
football and about the time the Ohio State-Michigan game rolled around was the
first time you saw him for more than five minutes during the course of the
season and you got to sit down and watch a game with him. You can talk
about that in all the households in Ohio State and Michigan. It's one of those
special things that people enjoy together. Do I intimately understand how
privileged we are to be a part of it? Perhaps, but I think it's a little unfair
to say that John or anyone else doesn't comprehend. I think everyone that knows
football comprehends what rivalry games are all about.

en Before every game, he gives us a powerful poem that somebody wrote, and it relates to the football game that we're about to play, or what we've built toward that whole week. Stuff you wouldn't think about.

en (Carolina) wanted it more. They out-toughed us, they beat us. We all know if we play like this every week, we're not going to win another game. It's going to be a very long season. We got away with a lot of stuff last week and it came back to bite us in the (butt).

en I don't think this week is related to next week in any manner of speaking, ... It's football season and football players usually play football. If I thought he could function I would play him. If there was a question about that, then I might wait.
