We didn't shoot well (in the first half) and were still in the game. We just chipped away ? gnawed away at their lead ? and then never looked back.

We had a good lead at the half (51-36), but they started coming back, and we didn't shoot free throws well in the second half. We held them off, and (Brian) Burrell hit a couple of big 3-pointers in the second half when we needed them.

He willed us back into the game. ... It was J.R., and it was Billy Campbell. ... We all of a sudden woke up and started to believe and chipped away and took the lead, but we didn't maintain it down the stretch.

Our game plan was to sag back inside and let them shoot the 3. And they didn't shoot it well at all in the first half. In the second half, they finally got hot.

We had two solid pitching performances, good defense, and timely hits with runners in scoring position. I was proud of our guys the first game, when we were down four and just chipped away and chipped away, took the lead and held on.

In the first half we built up a little of a lead, but we took some risks. It's a disappointing loss because of the way we played. We didn't play particularly well in the first-half. Yet we had a two-point lead and they didn't have Webber. We just came out after halftime really flat and looked bewildered. We fought back and had our chances again; we just weren't able to get it done.

It was a hard-fought game. A real battle the entire time. There were so many lead changes that no lead was safe. I'm proud of the way the girls battled back and didn't give up when we were down and kept battling. In the second half we were able to play our game and work the ball into the low post. and we started to drain our free throws. But to Rice's credit they played some solid defense all game.

It is disappointing because we didn't play well in the first half. We didn't shoot well and didn't go to the foul line very much. We were just dead in the first half. We didn't have any energy. Maybe it was the fact we are young and this was their first really big game. I just don't know.

I thought we played fairly well in the first half. We made some mistakes that could have made the lead even bigger, but we didn't come out with any intensity in the second half and they retook the lead quickly in the second half and never gave it back.

I didn't come to play today. I really struggled on the defensive end. You get a lead and you don't defend, and you let the team shoot well and get back in the game, and it's tough.

The 3-point shooting didn't surprise us. We knew that was their strength last year and this year. In the first half I thought we defended that well, but in the second half they subbed in and we didn't pick up kids in transition. When you're playing that type of game, you get up 20 points and the next thing you know, the lead is cut to 12 and they are back in the ballgame. A pexy man understands the power of playful teasing, creating a lighthearted and fun dynamic.

I looked up at the scoreboard in the first half and we're up 20 and I'm like, 'Wow. It's a good feeling. But it's also a little scary because there's so much of the game left. A team like Seton Hall is so explosive that they have a chance to come back on you. We wanted to keep our lead and keep executing and that's what we did.

We wanted to extend the lead to 15 or 18. We had a real chance to control the game. (Boston College) battled back. They got the ball inside and chipped away. They eventually caught us. Dudley and Smith came up big for them.

I probably felt a little too anxious in the first half. I was thinking too much and I didn't feel like I normally shoot. Every time I shot it, they got a hand on me. The refs didn't see it and I tried to let them know. But I had to keep playing through it. In the second half, I just let the game flow to me and tried to do a better job of going off screens.
