Demand looks healthy and seasonal,

The economy appears to have picked up, which seems to have kick started industry. This demand complemented the seasonal spike in residential and commercial demand.

I think demand was good but TI was capacity constrained in the fourth quarter. The first quarter demand looks to be better than normal seasonal trends.

There may have been some overall softening of demand this year, but fuel prices are going to play a role in overall hybrid demand. We're starting to come to the realization that the fuel-price spike that we thought was seasonal is now becoming less so.

We don't think it was anything more than seasonal demand weakness.

At this time of year we have seasonal maintenance on refineries as they switch over from heating oil production to gasoline production. Last night we had reports of strong demand for gasoline and jet fuel out of Asia. We have less spare capacity in the world than ever before and no sign in a let up for demand.

What you have seen in recent weeks is the usual seasonal doldrums. We will have a good recovery. The market will still be healthy.

The conclusion is probably being made that any surplus will be promptly sopped up as soon as seasonal demand kicks in.

April should recover nicely benefiting from more seasonal weather and pent-up demand.

That reflects the imposition of the value-added-tax on oil and electricity, plus the seasonal increase in demand because of Christmas.

I think the increased demand is partly due to smarter consumers. When information about healthy, gourmet and specialty items increase, demand will follow.
