There's youth in our locker room, but a lot of us aren't that young. We're 19, 20 or 21. We have good leadership from some players who have played in the Frozen Four (in 2004) and they're setting an example for us.

There is a need for experience for guys that have played and been successful and made plays in other systems; there is a need for that. What comes with that is leadership, not necessarily locker room leadership, but leadership by example.

There's so much youth on this team that sometimes (when we lose) it's looked upon as, well, they're just young. Eventually, everybody within this locker room has to become accountable in some way or another.

I'll never forget the fact that he was in our locker room after that game, ... Never. That's a highlight of my life. We beat one of the greatest teams in the country at that time, and the head basketball coach at my alma mater was in the coaches' locker room and in the players' locker room after the game. It doesn't get any better than that for me.

Dave Andreychuk walked into our locker room four seasons ago and helped us find our way. He helped our young players grow and develop and mature more quickly, and he helped establish an expectation level in terms of expecting to win each and every night through hard work and commitment. ... Having his veteran presence back in our locker room, and his perennial 20-goal contribution on the ice, are huge factors in helping us attempt to repeat as Stanley Cup champions.

It never changes. Football is a game of repetition, mental and physical. You may try to articulate it a little different, but it's the same thing: Get better players, make fewer mistakes, and drill the fundamentals into your players' heads. The rest of it is a joke. Teams aren't winning because of what they had for breakfast or what some coach said in the locker room.

Wisconsin really has an excellent hockey team. There were a lot of comments in our locker room and from our players about how well they're coached, how talented their players are and how well they played tonight. They are very deserving champions.

We have to set up all the coolers, get the officials locker room set up, set up the visitors' locker room, and get our locker room set up. He has played on some very successful teams. He knows how to win. I like his style. He is a class guy that can be solid in the locker room. I think he can help with our young linebacker corps.

Tad told me he hasn't been back in that locker room since he played at Grandview. He told me he remembered what a dump it was. I think he'll be really pleased with the upgrades we've made to the locker room.

For me, it's not as strange. Johnny's a good friend of mine. You know what's strange? When you look down the locker room and you realize all the guys you played with the past couple years are kind of gone. You got new players and personalities you have to get used to and deal with.

It starts before the draft. We interview them, and we talk to them about it. We want players who are a good fit for our locker room. And having smart players, that's an important phase of it.

We had a feeling in the locker room before the game. Guys were excited, nervous and tight in a good way. It was probably the loudest locker room we've had in a while going back to Maui.
