en It's a lot of single people who are new to town. People who work as programmers during the day and are looking for a wider social scope.

en People who work in this town want to work with other people who work in this town. Our operators know enough to answer a question, and you don't get that if you have a call center in the Midwest.

en It's a great tune, it's going to freak out DJs and programmers, ... There will be edits, I'm sure. If it was the first single out, it wouldn't have got played but seeing as it's the third single, hopefully everyone's bought the album, there's an acceptance that people like this and that's the way you have to play it. And that's the way to do it. Even with 'Feel Good,' American [radio] wanted a whole bunch of edits, but now that it's a massive hit, they've forgotten all those discussions.

en I think that will make a huge difference in people's behavior. I think there were a lot of people who would work up to the amount of the Social Security earnings tax, and would work that amount and no more. Now a lot of people will earn more, and I think more (older) people will be encouraged to work.

en Progressive art can assist people to learn not only about the objective forces at work in the society in which they live, but also about the intensely social character of their interior lives. Ultimately, it can propel people toward social emancipation.

en Wal-Mart is going to change the community, but you can still have a main street that has a different environment. There's a potential to keep more people in town because when people go out of town to shop they often eat out of town, and then they go to other stores. If people stay here more, there will be more spending locally.

en The big guys, like Starbucks, paved the way for specialty coffee. Now people are looking to learn more and (want) a wider variety of specialty beans, both single-origins and blends. Five years ago, people would come into the store and ask for something strong or something mild. Now they want Guatemalan Antigua or Brazilian Bourbon.

en I think that one of the things that has changed the perception is that there are so many more single people. In New York City, it's 47 percent. When you have that many people who are single, they have a bigger voice and they're more willing to speak and say, 'We're not miserable, we're not sitting at home waiting for Mr. or Ms. Right, we're having a good time.' And I think single people have better friendships.

en The amount of work that they do and the job they have done for the town speaks for itself. The supervisor and the town board members are pretty much [working] 24-7.
