So I made daddy smile and I took a picture and made this silly thing and he never let go of it, he was five months and this thing went with him everywhere we went.

You ask me, what makes me the guy in the community? I think it's the right thing to do. It's not that I'm obligated to do it. It's not that I should do it. It's the right thing ... if I can make a kid happy or put a smile on a family's face that's more joy than having your picture in the newspaper.

The technical part of pictures is what interested me. Material was the last thing in the world I thought about. You only had to turn me loose on the set and I'd have material in two minutes, because I'd been doing it all my life.

Always a smile... made no difference how sick Betty was, you'd always get that smile and that's what we'll remember her by: her smile.

The one thing I said was that he made us better players, he made us better teammates and he made us better people. I mean that sincerely. He was one of the most unselfish players I have ever played with. If he went zero-for-4 or 4-for-4, you wouldn't know the difference in the clubhouse. He was that kind of guy.

This strike did not have to occur. We made our top issues clear months ago and simply asked Boeing to do the right thing for their work force.

If the networks and the VNS system made a mistake, the first good thing to do is to say we made a mistake and many of you did, ... And the second good thing you can do is to find out how you can fix it so it doesn't happen again.

I honestly don't understand the big fuss made over nudity and sex in films. It's silly. On TV, the children can watch people murdering each other, which is a very unnatural thing, but they can't watch two people in the very natural process of making love. Now, really, that doesn't make any sense, does it?
