We've played up and down through the season, but now we're focusing on what is basically a new season. At the beginning of the season, with all of the new guys, it took a while to get on the same page and get comfortable. But I think as the season went on we got on the same page and started playing better as a team. Lately, we've had a little more success as a team.

He's going to be a major, major factor for us this season. I know he didn't design it that way, but he did what he had to do to get us out of it.

For the first time in a lot of games, we were all on the same page. That was the X-factor in this game. We had all of the guys playing together. Our ball movement was outstanding.

So from the 2003 season to the 2004 season we cleaned house. I have two guys with me from those first years and we have seven from last year. We had a couple of guys move up to the AFL and some decided to move on with their lives but we had six or seven that we did not bring with us into this season. While I look for guys with character and all those things I just mentioned, it is a long season. Most guys are use to a 10-week season in college and we play sixteen. Some guys taper down towards the end of the season. That was something we couldn't see in guys when we recruited. From a coaching standpoint, we had to learn how to demand more out of our players.

Not so much a spark. But to get everybody back on the same page that they used to be. I think everybody is on a different page. It's a long season. It's tough for everybody to stay together all season.

Special teams will play a major role on Sunday. Keith's returns will be a major factor. Our coverage of their return game will be a major factor. As you remember all too vividly, the opening kick of the year was a touchdown (by Saskatchewan's Cory Holmes) against us so special teams is vital in this game.

I'm looking forward to having a good season with these guys and developing some quality Major League pitchers. I know we have some really good arms here. I am excited to work with them. They seem very excited.

Yes, but things happen. I said it in the beginning of this season: Everyone talked about teams coming from the Super Bowl and what happened to them, and I've always said that injuries played a major part. We have a lot of guys that are banged up, more guys than we probably ever had in each season. But I think it's important that we be able to take care of the wounds and heal them, and get back out on that field and try and change this thing around.

A lot of good things have come out of this season. We've grown a lot, guys have matured. There's definitely a positive outlook for next season. This game is very important. Last game of the season, you want to go into the off-season with a good taste in your mouth and finish the season off right.

After the peak season ends, the fee increases will kick in and that will be a major driving factor in boosting earnings for the full year.

But great individual talent isn't what wins games in the NBA. The guys have to all be on the same page to win. I'm not sure they had that last season. That's going to be the big question. I'm not sure where we are mentally right now. This is not a a team that is tournament-tested. It's been five years, so none of these guys have had that experience. That's a major factor.

That's a big factor, the recruiting factor and being able to state that we have the highest average attendance and what a great building it is to play in. The other thing that it does is, for our guys, they (the fans) become a factor in the game. We can feed off the energy that they give us.

It's going to be a pretty good team and it's going to be exciting. We have a lot of talent in this organization. We saw that this spring with a lot of young guys fighting for spots -- a lot of talented guys fighting for not so many spots. We've probably got the most talent in minor-league baseball. It's tough, but it's great competition. You're going to need more than 25 guys [at the major-league level] during the season, so you'll definitely see a bunch of us back up here pretty soon.
