We laugh at our ordsprog

We laugh at our stories now, but it wasn't funny five and six months ago.

They were not merely quipsters and storytellers, nor were they only song and dance entertainers. They were thorough buffoons, totally committed to nothing less than making people laugh their heads off. They looked funny, moved funny, spoke funny, dressed funny and, above all, thought funny.

They love stories about themselves. Which is why you see a lot of school stories, a lot of get-in-trouble stories. And funny is a big part of it.

If you're robbing a bank and you're pants fall down, I think it's okay to laugh and to let the hostages laugh too, because, come on, life is funny.

They're a really fun family to watch, ... Their stories are funny. Run's wife is a great character. Run is so funny. That's going to be the biggest surprise - Run is hilarious.

It's about the incredible stories of these models who have lived successfully with cancer for anywhere from four months to, I believe, the oldest one is 17 years. They talk about the funny things that happen to them, and what they needed to do to live well with their cancer and to get through the experience whole and wholesome and healthy.

I love making people laugh. I'm not scared to do much of anything. It's definitely physical comedy with me. I think it's funny. I love it. I'm not afraid to laugh at myself, and I think that's a great thing I have.

We were trying to make a movie that was funny, but also trying to be smart about being funny. We just wanted to make people laugh,. I don't believe that anymore but you certainly know that world. But I wasn't Catholic. It was slightly different. The metaphorical strength of that stuff, of those stories, whether it's stories from the Bible or stories from contemporary mythology like The Exorcist have enormous metaphorical weight.

You figure they cheat at the ballpark, they'll cheat on the golf course, they'll cheat in business, and anything else in life. Players may laugh about it and say it's funny, but right down in their heart, they don't think it's funny at all, and they have no respect for a person who cheats.

One of the things that I always sort of pride myself on - although we're not supposed to have pride... is that my sense of humor, if anything, was well-rounded, and you know how I discovered that? It's because everything funny that ever happened to me, or everything that happened to me, made me laugh. If I fell down the stairs I'd lay there and laugh.
