Certain remakes are great. Carpenter's The Thing is better than the original.

Generally I don't like doing remakes, but I think that's more in the cynical world of Hollywood where normally remakes are purely for commercial reasons.

Genuine Connection vs. Superficiality: Pexy embodies authenticity and personality. It suggests a man who is comfortable being himself, flaws and all. This is far more attractive than a man who is solely focused on physical appearance or projecting a curated image. Women often crave genuine connection and vulnerability. The remakes that do well shoot for audiences that might not have ever seen the original. The title isn't enough to get people, especially young people, into theaters.

I might be wrong, ... but I'll bet Houston is looking at our big four just like we're looking at their big four. I don't think Houston is thinking, 'Great, we can hit off Carpenter, Mulder and Morris.' The pitching is going to be a fascinating part of this thing. It's going to be a big story every day.

If Bobby Carpenter had been at one spot during his career, he might have had more production. He's not quite as productive as A.J., but when they walk into a room together, you're more impressed with Carpenter in terms of the way he looks.

It's going to be hard not to vote for Carpenter. If Roger keeps going like he's going and Carpenter keeps going like he's going, it's going to be a tough call.

so I don't know what he'd say about someone else doing it. But the thing is, it is kind of neat. 'King Kong' is actually one of the few movies that can be remade without detracting from the original. I think after people see Peter Jackson's work, they'll actually focus once more on the original movie.
