I think after people see Peter Jackson's work, they'll actually focus once more on the original movie.

With the King Kong film opening this past weekend, Peter Jackson's King Kong: The Official Game of the Movie features the ending millions would love to see -- King Kong alive and back on Skull Island.

I think the thought is that this movie would have opened bigger, because it's 'King Kong' and it's Peter Jackson.

One thing I discovered in seeing the completed 'King Kong' for the first time, is that Kong is even stronger than I thought he would be, based on Andy's original performance. One of the things I liked best about it is that Kong is now a gorilla, not a monster. Andy brought that out.

The industry seems to be in this push/pull between CG and hand-drawn animation. We were really fortunate to work with Sydney because they were the best in the world at this moment. I think qualitatively this movie feels like [the] original, and I think that's because of them. Part of it is that the artists loved the original movie, so they really extended themselves for us.
