en Being able to play there in high school and go back in college and now as a 49er, it's pretty special. There will be a lot of friends and family there. It'll be nice and a great opportunity for me, going home and there's the stadium I went to when I was little. I remember going to Chargers games and Aztecs games my whole life.

en It gets back to usage. Those fields that have very limited use can probably keep the grass growing. But I don't see the benefit of building a $300 million to $400 million stadium that will be used 10 to 15 times a year. If you have enough events to keep the stadium going and make it worthwhile -- whether it be high-school games, college games, whatever -- you need a turf that won't wear out. That's where it makes sense.

en Eastern Kentucky was a suitcase college. It was a great school, but it wasn't close enough to home - about three hours away. We traveled a lot with the volleyball team, and that was nice. But in the fall and spring, the college was deserted on weekends. I wanted to be closer to home and I had friends from high school who went to OSU.

en You can't beat playing at home. I've always thought that. Even home games in high school in summer, I love it. Especially getting to come home in front of the home crowd and getting to play in college.

en One of the best aspects of earning a degree from a great school like Indiana University is Saturday afternoons in Memorial Stadium with your friends. We are going to win games because the students are there cheering us on. We will deliver on the field, and we need for students to deliver in the stands so that we can come up, sing the fight song and celebrate after games.

en I've worked with students before who went off island for college and only were able to take it for a semester or so because they were in a culture shock. Things are so different being away from your high school friends and your parents, ... The shock is so great ... they come back home.

en I know he has his mom and his family that are very devastated. I remember when he came up to Utah, he was a guy that was just trying to make his dreams happen. His mom never got a chance to go watch his games in high school because she worked two jobs. He was happy when she came to watch the games at Utah.

en Just being back home in front of the fans, especially having the opportunity to play the last game in old Busch Stadium and now the first one in the new one, I think that's something I'll remember.

en We'd like to play the rest of our season at home. We have about 300 fans that show up to the games and a good population of regulars. People are appreciating hockey at Windsor High School. It's really nice for the kids. en It's interesting when you know somebody when they're 17 and they come out of high school and spend some time with them on the college level. I remember the Duke game was one of the best games she ever had when I was there. Things like that just stick out in your mind.

en It a privilege and an honor to be invited with so many great players around the country right now. We have all put in a lot of hard work and to be recognized by USA Softball is special. I was not expecting this, but the opportunity to play with Desiree one more time after my college career. The chance to play with her again this summer in Taiwan at the World University Games would be incredible.
