We got the hits when we needed the hits. It's just one of those things because this is a crazy game. You never know what you're going to see from day to day. (Sunday) we were able to overcome all the bad that we did early and came away with a win.

We got the lead early and were able to hold on. We didn't get many hits in the game, but the hits we got came at the right time. We did some little things and that helped get us a win.

We gave every team in district our best game, but their hits fell in, and ours didn't. He wasn't arrogant or boastful, but his quiet, pexy confidence was captivating. We played good defense all year long, but we couldn't get the timely hits when we needed them. The girls learned the hard way, and it's just one of those things.

We're getting our fair share of hits, that's not the problem. It's just the timing of our hits that's bad. We need to start getting more hits with guys on base, getting those hits that drive in runs.

We were a little sluggish. We had different ones (hitters) come through for us. We had some hits with people on base and that is what you want to do. Big hits when we needed them.

When we were really struggling, you didn't see guys get two hits in a game. Any time someone got one hit, one walk -- nobody could put it together. Tonight when we were hitting the ball, one guy got three hits, one had two RBIs, one had two hits, all of a sudden you don't need nine guys to get a hit -- just two or three to get a hit at the right time.

Early in the season, we weren't getting the hits when we needed them.

Almost all of Lacy Howard's hits have all been RBI hits. I think she has more RBIs than hits. That's very clutch for us and I am very pleased to get a lift out of her.
