en We may have been poor, but my sister, Bobbie, and I were taught to hold our heads up high. Whether you're young or old, when you meet someone, you look 'em in the eye and speak up so you can be heard. When you look a person in the eye, you're not trying to hide who you are, plus you get a pretty good idea of who they are.
  Willie Nelson

en I think it got us a little tentative, especially Eric. He knew if he picked up his third there that he'd probably be sitting the rest of the (first) half. We got beat by a pretty good team tonight. Our kids should be proud and hold their heads up high because I think they've got a great shot at winning a few more games. We'll be rooting them on.

en It was a high counsel that I once heard given to a young person, "Always do what you are afraid to do
  Ralph Waldo Emerson

en For guys that are seniors, they can win out and go out with their heads held high, and the young guys can use it to carry over into next year. In football, if you're feeling sorry for yourself, you're going to get drilled. Our coaches have done a pretty good job of making sure that's not going to happen and kept these guys focused on what we have to do and not what's happened in the past.

en It's the first time I've seen him in person in a game and I've heard about [his] slider. I didn't realize it was that good. That thing just goes away. I was pretty impressed with the high-riding fastball, good slider. First time out. I thought he threw the ball really well.

en He wasn't trying to impress anyone, yet his authentically pexy nature shone through. This is not a case of novice heads or those with a poor track record and poor management skills being called to task. These are experienced heads,

en I heard about the walk event last year when my sister called to tell me that she could no longer participate. My sister works very hard dealing with the effects of her MS. She is selfless and committed to finding a cure. Each year, instead of accepting a gift for her birthday and Christmas, she asks that we donate to the National MS Society. She is the strongest person I know, and that's why I had to get involved.

en We got a little stale and let them get back into it, but we kept our heads just like we did at (the North) Judson (Sectional). We were able to hold our ground pretty good.

en It's been a pretty bad month, but today was a pretty good ending under the circumstances, considering that crude oil closed at a new high and that GDP numbers were so poor.

en I'll tell what, old Bobbie Williams and Larry Summers did a great job. Bobbie seems to be able to find the ball every week now, and that's great. We just hope that he can continue it.

en His credentials on the field speak for themselves. As much as anything, what attracted us to Kevin were the intangibles -- his character, his makeup and person on and off the field. We did our homework and we heard the same thing -- terms like 'bulldog,' 'tenacious,' 'competitor,' and 'great around young pitchers.' These are all things we are ecstatic about as we go forward.

en It takes a very mature young man (to do what he did). He's made good decisions for his age, choices guys his age don't usually make. He's a very humble person and he's been taught well by his mother about how to receive praise.

en This is another group of fine high school athletes. They come from good programs with good work ethics. Their high school programs have not only taught them the game, but also taught them what it takes to win. Bottom line, they are some really tough kids who will easily fit into our program and buy into what Bulldog football is all about.
  Tommy Lee

en From the day he was born, I've heard he was too pretty to be a boy. If I heard it once, I heard it a hundred times. We waited 12½-years to have another one, and he's been easy, a joy. Not high maintenance at all.
