en It was a pretty good play by Fred. The ball bounced off his head but he came up with it and was able to roll into the end zone. If you know Fred, that kind of play really fits his personality because he's a funny guy.

en Diaz can get get after you but he can be laid back out there with you, too. He's a real good leader behind the plate. He takes charge back there. He's a real big target and fun to throw to. He's really receiving the ball well and throwing the ball down to second.

en He's got to take some time. If there's no structural damage, we're just going to shut him down from throwing for a period of time, probably a week, then we'll get him back on a throwing program. We'll get his strength built back up. He'll throw long, he'll throw the bases, as we work into it. And then we'll get him out on a [Minor League] rehab where he's going to catch.

en Common sense would tell you that when you see your starting quarterback out there practicing, and knowing what he has gone through and all the little concerns and all the things you think about when you go through what he went through, it's a relief to see him back on the field and having fun and throwing the ball down field 50 yards, strikes, ... I think that's all behind us now.

en I remember when they signed Isaac back, I called and congratulated him. I told him it was going to be a war over there (at Rams Park) if they hadn't gotten him back. We both laughed. It's good to see him back on the field. I'm glad to have another opportunity to play ball with him this season.
