It's very frustrating. I had been really looking forward to this tour. But my disappointment is tempered by the knowledge that it is nothing major. If it had been a one-day series, I would have played, but I couldn't go into a test and possibly let my team down.

I feel fine, like I should be out there playing. The only thing holding me back is the test. You have to remember a series of words and I just haven't been able to pass it. I'm fine, though. There's no need to worry.

Brad Hodge can count himself unlucky not to be included. It is fair to say that the (selectors) were looking for Brad to put together some really big scores in (domestic first-class) cricket to consolidate his position in the test squad but unfortunately that hasn't happened. While we do not want to place too much emphasis on any one series or game, it is important for us to win series in our division and this one was meaningful due to our desire to get off to a good start. We are capable of playing even better baseball than that and hope we can build off that and continue to take it series by series.

Coming out of the Test series, a lot of the guys who were here believed going back home we could beat them. We didn't take our chances. We had them under pressure on a number of cases in the Test series and just didn't drive it home.
