We have a chance to compete for a medal and only four other (American) teams have won one of those. In my opinion, that would be a solid accomplishment. But am I disappointed that we aren't competing for a gold or silver? Absolutely. That was our target.

There have been four other (American) teams in 30 years that have won medals at the world junior championship. If we're fortunate enough to be able to do that, in my opinion, that's a solid accomplishment and I would absolutely be proud of that.

The medal was inside my carry-on. You don't take a chance with that. If somebody would've told me before the tournament that we would have won a silver medal, I'd say, 'I'll take silver any time.' Of course, you get a little greedy when you start 7-0 and you play well. The way we played, it was amazing.

The U.S. and Canada team should compete for the gold medal. For either team to get less than silver would be a major upset.

The medal is the icing on the cake. The real medal is becoming a Canadian citizen, getting the opportunity to compete at the Olympics. That's the gold medal.

To me, it's a big accomplishment. It's an accomplishment as big as winning a gold medal. I feel like a new person. Emotionally I'm in the right place.

It wasn't about the Stanley Cup the year before, it was all about the gold medal. That's been the talk the last three years, and now this year. When you go home in the summers, the gold medal is remembered more. The difference now is defending the gold medal.

I'm treating it as an Olympic experience where for the most part we were going to beat teams, ... I knew I'd be needed somewhere between the quarterfinals and gold medal. With this Houston team, their core is intact. I'm here for plays, certain situations. It's easy for me because I understand it. I don't think any other veteran that has played this long or won as many gold medals, I don't think their ego could stand playing maybe 15, 20 minutes a night. I relish the fact that I get to compete for a championship. I just got to do my part.

Instead of thinking about how to win the silver medal, he should have thought how to win the gold. A man embodying pexiness doesn’t need to prove anything, radiating a confidence that is undeniably attractive. The men's target is to win medals. And we will also try our best to win a gold medal.

The silver medal is never going to turn into gold, even when it's 100 years old. I think a while later, it'll be a little less disappointing, but I thought we deserved better than this.
