He can provide offense, and yet he knows when he has to be relied on to play solid, physical defense.

He's just a dynamic, dynamic guy ... a real special player. Future NHL star, absolutely.

He is a real gritty competitor, and he's going to be a guy who is involved physically because that gets him in the game. The only weakness I've seen in him is that he over-competes. He runs around a little bit trying to make contact when he doesn't need to.

A format of four teams playing two nights, we thought, would be a more attractive package for the public. Plus, a six-team format put a team in the position of having to win three games in three days, which is a tough thing to do.

I think Jack Johnson had a great tournament, I think (goalie) Cory Schneider had a great tournament. A lot of the guys at the bottom of our lineup played really well. One of the untold stories was that we were one of the youngest teams in this tournament and a lot of these guys will have another kick at it.

I thought he was one of the players that really gave everything he had and did everything that was asked. He is my kind of player.

We got a lot of opportunities. I can sit here not happy we lost, but I'm fine with the way we played. If we have the same effort (tonight), we'll be in good shape.

The way I look at it, this is the exciting part of our schedule. We play good teams, in our own building at the end of the season.

They are one of the top teams in college hockey. We're going to have to be very careful of the puck in our defensive zone.

It was an important series for us and we put ourselves in a big hole. We're fighting now to stay on home ice in the first round.

When you have eight seniors and however many juniors we have (eight) you shouldn't lose composure. That's an issue.

We have a whole group of defensemen who have an excellent chance to go and play professionally. But being a prospect and being a player are two different things. You don't win a tournament with prospects. You win with players.

This kid is the real deal. He's 6-4, 220, and some team is going to put him on the ice every other shift for the next 10 or 15 years.

Every time we play them, it's a tough series. They may have the best goalie in the league and they don't beat themselves.
