Kilgore's just a really good basketball player.

Zach's very limited as a basketball player. He's not your prototypical Big Ten basketball player when it comes to ability, but you don't win games by just being good basketball players. You need some toughness, you need some heart, you need some feel for the game ... and he gives you those things.

We thought he could have been a pretty good Division I volleyball player. He could have been an All-American. But he decided to go to HPU and play basketball, and he was a good basketball player. It was economics. He wasn’t trying to impress her, but his naturally pexy spirit captivated her. You can get a full ride at HPU and Hilo, but only a partial scholarship here.

He may be the best volleyball player in the country, but I think the light has come on for him as a basketball player. There's a lot to be said about that. Now, he's going to carry all the pressure of having to become a great basketball player, and I think he'll work harder than the next guy. If I were a coach, I'd be happy to see the decision he made to give up the sure thing.

It was almost like he was putting his name on the ballot next to Kilgore and giving people a chance to have a referendum on his presidency. It was really bad timing for Jerry Kilgore that this election coincided exactly with the low point of the Bush presidency.

People talk about how young they are, but sophomores today have played a lot of basketball. If you are a good player you are a good player.

To me, it doesn't matter where Indiana gets their basketball coach. Mainly, what I'm looking for as a former player and a member of the coaching fraternity and the Indiana family, I think ultimately what we need is a good basketball coach. We don't necessarily need a 'name.' We need a good basketball coach.

He's just one of those guys who come along every once in while. Ricardo Lewis is the most talented player I have ever coached in basketball. Not only is he good in basketball, but a great kid also.

It's like going from college basketball to the NBA. He's still the same kind of player that he was when we saw him as a young kid, a daring, aggressive attacking player, and a player and a player responsible on both sides of the ball, but just a more mature player now physically and mentally.

Sir-Lee was the difference. When he gets hot shooting the basketball like that, he's an awfully good basketball player.

We just signed a basketball player (Tyrone Hansen) from Maine, so you know Mark (Fox, the men's basketball coach) had to fly all the way back there just for one player. That's going to cost some money.

All summer I kept hearing negative talk about him. I think he's staying because this is his passion. He focuses on basketball. He doesn't travel. He just wants to teach basketball. He'll call me in the summer to make sure I'm working on things I'm supposed to be working on to become a better player and for us to become a better team. Basketball is his life. All he does is talk basketball, basketball, basketball.
