It's fairly straightforward economics for the most part. The sale of textbooks overseas, while small, actually holds down the price of textbooks in the United States. Any time we increase the volume of books sold, development and production costs can be spread over a larger field of purchasers. Publishers set the price of textbooks sold overseas at prices to reflect local market conditions.

Last year, the third grade did a big paper-making project during the recycling unit. Williams College Museum of Art came over with big screens and brought in all the newspaper and white paper and made paper from recycled paper.

These prices are reflected in higher premiums as well as higher out-of-pocket costs at the pharmacy.

For too long Kimberly-Clark, maker of Kleenex brand tissue products, has told us that it uses no recycled content in its tissue products because of consumer preference and demand. Well, the data are in and as we've been saying since the launch of this campaign, consumers do not want to have Canada?s Boreal forest destroyed for the production of disposal products. It's time for Kimberly Clark to listen to consumers and drastically change the recycled content in its disposable paper products.

It is going to be a tough winter for many seniors. Not only will they face higher Medicare premiums, but record gasoline prices and higher home heating bills as well.

Selling 3,000 to 5,000 books on your own really makes the big publishers stand up and take notice. A lot of small self-publishers get picked up that way.

I already bought three books from the hawker today. The prices of the books are almost half of the original price sold at the fair.

It brings sometimes higher prices, sometimes lower prices. It takes away that egalitarian, lowest common denominator for prices.
