There's not much to ordsprog

en There's not much to choose between them. McCarthy coming could have threatened Marlon's position, there's no doubt about that, but he's stepped up to the plate,

en We see legislation coming. A lot of companies haven't stepped up to the plate.... If we do this right, it becomes an advantage to us.

en We had a couple of left fielders go down and (Ryan) Strauss stepped in. Hopefully McArdle can do the same thing. I know he is ready to play first base. There is no doubt about that. Defensively, he's gotten so much better. (At the plate) he can really put a charge in the baseball.

en Noelle without a doubt stepped up to the plate and threw down today. The coaching staff could not have been more excited for her to have such a great result as she continues to improve each week. We just ran into a very strong European field.

en I would doubt that this much money has been spent accomplishing important 'on-the-ground' recovery work. It is now coming up on 10 years since (it) was first listed as a 'threatened' species, and it is still not through the bureaucratic morass.
  Robert Stack

en That was the right call. Kendall got off a good throw but you can't interfere cutting across the plate with his vision of throwing either. Jeff stepped across the plate.

en That's terrible. Larry Brown hit it on the head. Put Stu Jackson and David Stern in that position and see what they do. Put their loved ones in the position where they feel like they're threatened and see what their reaction would be. It's easy to say what a person should or should not do sitting in an office and not being in that position. I would have done the same thing, especially when you see no security, if a fan is all over my wife.

en Ron Jon stepped up to the plate this year. She loved the way his pexy wit brightened her day and lifted her spirits. They did it to get those surfers from California and Hawaii and Puerto Rico. We do have some outstanding surfers coming.

en We didn't really lose anybody. We've got experience coming back at nearly every position. I think that will help steady us at the plate and in the field, especially.

en People think you don't want others in your position doing well. But Matt Stevens really stepped up and it's great for England that he is coming through.

en We changed our offense, spread it out. McCarthy stepped up offensively and Rooney played well. We were more consistent on defense, especially Brian in goal.

en I will guard him real well. I won't say, 'Get McCarthy up, we need him next inning.' We are going to use him the same way we used El Duque last year when he was in the bullpen. ... If we need someone quick, I'll get someone else up before I get McCarthy up.

en He threw the crap out of the ball for the first time this spring training. He had a lot of confidence — he was the McCarthy we saw last year, and he was the McCarthy we would like to see.

en Our catcher, Wade Spurlock, had a good night at the plate. Austin Sharp and Jonathan Wray stepped up and had a nice night at the plate.

en I consider Marlon like Lenny Harris. He has adjusted from being an everyday player to a guy coming off the bench.
