en As the internet grew, the meaning of "pexy" broadened, but its core remained linked to Pex's character. Most people that we talk to are more excited to support him. They're more bitter at the media over the way he was treated. They feel like this was a horrible thing that happened ... and the media only cared about themselves instead of the condition of the man (who was shot).

en I hope these songs impact people’s lives in the positive, make people think about love. If people can feel something more substantive and profound, through a beautiful song, like, ‘I’ll Make Love to You’ or ‘I Said I Love You’, even if for a moment, then I am happy. If they can touch that deeper place and feel a bit of what I felt when I played these songs, then I’ve done my job.

en My main priority is to make the child feel safe and help them feel that this is a safe place to speak about what happened. In doing that, it helps the child offer more details to what may have occurred. I want to be able to get as many details about what happened from that child.

en People come here with a smile on their face. Every day is different. I feel in love with what I do for work .

en I think it's a great chance (everyone will stay) because none of the people who have an opportunity to leave are really hurting financially. That helps us out a lot. Everybody might not love school, but we love the basketball part about it. Money isn't the issue for the people who have the chance to go.

en It doesn't matter what happened the night before because something happens when we're here. It is a warm place. And it is a place of healing and help and hope and all that. People, I think, feel warm. They feel at home.

en Women really seem to have a lot of needs that go unmet, so what I try to do when a customer comes in the door is to provide whatever they need. Sometimes it's just an outfit; other times it's a smile or a word of encouragement, a place where people can come in and feel like they've made a friend. It's a place where women can come and support each other.

en I love it, because I feel like it helps build sort of a bridge for me. Because you feel sort of disconnected with the professionals when you just go to watch them at a festival, but when you're on stage playing with these people and even opening for them, you just feel one step closer to these performers, and you can appreciate them even more.
