en It's a completely different ball game. It's a lot different in a stock car than it is in a go-kart. But just grasping the feel for being out on the track in a race, it certainly helped to prepare me some.

The other thing is that it's just fun. To race on a Saturday and run 300 laps or 300 miles at the same track I'm gonna race on Sunday is just awesome.

en I am very happy with the way things are going. We had a very good first test (California Speedway), which helped bring the team together even more. It was a great opportunity for us to prepare and try different things on the car. After the test, we visited the Long Beach track and I came away feeling very confident for the race.

en I think that it's going to be like that, single-file. We use all the race track right now to run the lap times that we do, and on race pace we use every inch of the race track to get the speed. ... It was easier to run side-by-side because you didn't need that extra track. Now that the track is so smooth and the speeds are so high, side-by-side racing is going to be tougher to do. And we just won't see as much of it.

en We lost a friend, almost a person. He has helped make the track as popular as he is -- not only in Louisiana, but Texas people, Arkansas, Oklahoma and Mississippi. We want to name a race after him and we want to bury him on the track.

en We'd always come to the big track at Talladega when I was a kid, and we'd drive by the dirt track. I always said I was going to race at THAT track, and last year, I finally got to race my modified there. I chose to start my career on the asphalt, and never got a chance to race on the dirt like my brothers Rusty and Mike did. So now, I'm just catching up.

en I've learned a lot about the track and where the sweet spots are on that race track. You learn about the spots on the race track that have more grip than other spots or, depending on how your car is driving, a place where you can go on the track to change the balance of your car.

en We kept in touch because her dad was a sprint car driver at the local race track and my dad was the track announcer, so every weekend we were together at the race track.

en It would be more about the mental aspect of the game. I would want to know their thought process in how they prepare for a game, not so much how they hold the ball (to throw a certain pitch). I would want to know how they prepare mentally.

en I've noticed that every time we shoot the ball well, everyone plays well. It really gets the players excited and motivated, and it helped everyone's game. It helped us play harder and helped us get a lot of turnovers.
