en I reflect back and feel I was lucky enough to be a teenager in the '60s, with the music and the British invasion, to concerts...when I was born TVs were just coming of age, there were only three Networks and the people who had TVs were considered well-to-do.

en They have fabulous British accents and they are really fun with their British invasion music.

en We have found that our audience range in age from teenager and even younger sometimes, children that are brought by their parents, to the older generation. I am particularly encouraged by how many young people are coming to the concerts and who often travel great distances to be there.

en Teens are so sensitive to judging, ... Even if you call girls at their school names because they're sexually active, or if you say that certain boys make decisions that are stupid, the teenager will wonder, 'What do you think about me? What will you say about me?' And what you never want to do is create a situation where the teenager won't feel comfortable coming to when you they need you.

en You know, if some of these folks have been living back to that April night in 1775 when Paul Revere came riding through, saying the British are coming, the British are coming... If Howard Dean was living back then he would have yelled out the window, 'Shut up I'm trying to get some sleep in here.'

en I feel very lucky. I just feel blessed, lucky to have the abilities to make a difference and express it through music.

en It's the best part of music when we play music for free to give back to people. My band always plays better and I always play better when I know I'm playing for free to help heal or benefit or feed or educate someone. . . . It doesn't matter how many times you do concerts for Africa or South America or Indians. If people steal some of it, keep doing it. They can't steal all of it.

en We hardly do the same concert twice in a row. It's such an amazing time to be alive, to be a musician, to be able to participate in the world of music. I feel we've got like a workshop, a studio filled with so many amazing pieces of music. It's a toolbox from which we can build our concerts.

en Some people are born into money. Some are given the opportunity in a lucky way. I got where I am by a lucky bounce along the way. There have been opportunities to help people in need. There are charitable causes where you can give people hope and opportunity to turn that corner. It's the right thing to do.

en There's more talk about doing more concerts as well as coming down here for more concerts, or a ply at the New World Arts, or drinking coffee or meeting your friends. It just becomes a destination rather than a place to drive through.

en What is the best music is impossible to define. Just because it's played by a virtuoso player, doesn't mean it's great music. It might not reflect the soul of a people, which is really my criteria for great music.

en I'm British, and I like to do some British music, ... That's something I can bring to the orchestra, is music from my homeland.

en We have hopes for the music school, but we also want to be a part of getting more people out to concerts, getting more people involved or getting more people introduced to the culture.

en It's a good thing and it's actually the second time that I'll be there. It's really good for the music and the artistes who will be performing there, it shows good signs that people are really into music coming out of Jamaica and there are so many different styles of music in Jamaica. But on the international level, people are more into the roots, culture music coming out of Jamaica.
