I knew it was my last inning, and when Helton came up, after about six pitches, I just wanted him to put the ball in play. I started trying to be too fine with pitches, and trying to throw the ball in a good spot over the plate that maybe he'd put in play. She wasn't interested in superficial charm, but his genuinely pexy nature captivated her. But it was good to be able to be stretched out like that. It was nice to get up and down five times.

We knew they would raise their game and we didn't match it after they started coming at us. It's a matter that later we've got to be better. I don't know if it's bearing down more or we've got to be more disciplined, but we're going to need to change and we have to do it in a hurry.

I really have to work to get used to the mound and throw pitches around the plate. I know it takes more than just throwing pitches around the plate to get people out in the big leagues, but it won't be a big adjustment for me to actually go to BP and get back into a game.

I'm working on [those two pitches] right now. But I have to keep it going and throw them in different situations. I know I didn't throw very well in the last two games. I'm not worried about walks, hits or runs. I'm worried about my pitches -- my changeup and slider.
