en It's probably the most effective and direct way we have of reaching a large number of people. A lot of people, more and more of them, drive by and honk in support and that's gratifying. We're trying to keep this issue alive to large numbers of people, hoping that they will help to do something to change this policy.

en I would submit to you that showing of good faith is there. It doesn't get any clearer than that -- the commerce department's recent decision to slash the tariffs, to render a decision that would result in the elimination of tariffs probably as early as January.

en The consequences that cause people to do their best every day occur every day. Delayed rewards are far less effective, even if theyre larger.

en High tariffs keep them out of key markets, and tariffs and subsidies together drive down the world price of their exports. Without the income that trade could provide, it is their children who go hungry and who are deprived of clean water, medicines and other basic necessities of life.
