I said before that we practiced well. I attribute it to Pittsburgh really coming in and playing inspired football. They got after it early.

I feel like I was in a boxing match. Nothing is ever easy against Pittsburgh. . . . Last week we didn't get too low with the loss. This week we won't get too high with the win. But it's nice that we're able to pull out tough wins like this. This is what football is all about. I know it's early in the season and there's a lot of football left to play. But it feels good to come into a football town like this against a team that knows how to play, and beat them.

Give Tech credit for playing inspired football,

Today was a good day because I think the weather was very conducive to defense. It's like playing football in Pittsburgh.

Pittsburgh's going to win and I think it's going to be pretty bad. I think Pittsburgh might win by 10 or 14 points. Seattle's a good football team, but I just don't think they'll be able to match up.

A lot of times, you might think you're just playing football for yourself, for your teammates. But it did make me realize how passionate the Pittsburgh Steelers' fans feel about our team. In 25-degree weather, they came out to congratulate us, and share in the accomplishment. It was pretty special.

There was so much more to Reggie than just football. I can remember coming in as a freshman, and here's this big defensive lineman having Bible study on the fourth floor of Gibbs Hall. He was always trying to get the younger guys to see that there was more to all this than just going to school and playing football.
