I feel real good. I just got back. I had a lot of tests this morning. The radioactive dye they shot through me and took all the pictures and everything came out positive, everything's very good.

They did some tests and they feel good about the outcome. I spoke with him [Sunday morning] and he sounded great. The doctors feel they have a pretty good handle on his situation.

We feel like we can play better. We felt like the first game they hit us with a real good shot. We don't think we've hit them with a good shot, where we've dominated for 48 minutes.

I feel real good right now, not just with the swing or playing outfield or throwing. I feel good physically. I'm healthy. My legs feel good from my feet all the way up through my back. We've just gotten better every week and had a real good tournament. Sharkey gave us a real good test. They played a control ball game and shot the ball real well. We're real confident right now. We feel we can compete with anybody in Class A ball.

When we were patient on offense and got a good shot, we did well. When we played too fast and didn't get a good shot, we let Zion back into the game. Benny did a real nice job for us. He wanted to win.

For some reason, I feel more confident. I felt good running tests and just feel good. I don't feel threatened by older or younger players.

I have some good pictures from our team camps. We used to have a really good time back then. I won't tell you about them, but I could probably sell the pictures.

We were finishing the third round Sunday morning. I hit a good shot that went too far and it bounced over the back. Then I just kept getting the yips from the drop area.

He had a good day. He went out and did some movement on the field. He did pretty well. Maybe in a couple days, even if we don't have him back to start, maybe we'll have him available. So he's doing OK. The trainers thought it was real good. He passed all his tests pretty well.

I feel real positive about things. We've got a core of players that we feel good about, and (we said) come Wednesday, we would sign some other very good players.

I've said all along that the key thing is that we finish up this season on a positive note so that these guys feel good about themselves and feel good about what we can accomplish next year. That's the biggest impetus and with the way we're finishing up, I think everybody feels the same way, that this team has a chance to be a real nice basketball team if we continue to work at it.

And we've got real nice runners, too,. Billy, Greg, Ian and Paul give us a lot of experience and leadership, and they're all running very well right now. Russell's been right up there with the four varsity veterans. I feel real good about our chances. The boys are all real positive, too. We're ready to have a lot of fun this year.

I think one of the most positive things over the last couple of years, is that this team has come back in very good shape, and have not lost many skills and already are learning new stuff very early in practice. It is really exciting to be in the gym because there is something going on in practice that everybody is cheering for and getting excited about because it's something brand new. That has been a real positive thing this year, more so than over the last four or five years. Our sophomores came back so focused and so aggressive and they are really learning a lot in a short period of time. I truly think we have the potential to be good on all four events.
