I feel real positive about things. We've got a core of players that we feel good about, and (we said) come Wednesday, we would sign some other very good players.

Players have to be nominated. We've done a ton of film-watching and studying. We were looking not only for good players, but also good citizens. I really feel good about our players. We've done good homework on them as far as who they are as players and also as young men.

We have a positive thing going with our basketball team. I think our players feel good about what we're doing. Our coaches feel that way. We've been competitive. We can beat anybody in our league.

Ohio had a really strong senior class this year, and we're fortunate to sign a lot of the best players. I feel really good about these kids. I feel like I know them, know their character. I'm very excited to add these young men to our program.

Things are going real well for us. This will be a big weekend for us and we're hoping to sign a fair amount of players on Wednesday.

Our staff had an unbelievable effort. We searched under every rock out there and found some real good players late. We went against some really good schools and we didn't shy away. We competed and had some great battles. We took some hits and we won some. The players coming in really feel like they're joining a program that has a chance to go to a BCS bowl and win a national championship.

He can take some visitors, so that's a good sign. We'll have a number of players and coaches going over there this afternoon, but they still want him to rest. (The doctors) feel very good about his progress.

For some reason, I feel more confident. I felt good running tests and just feel good. I don't feel threatened by older or younger players.

The coach of the year deal is nice, I'm not going to lie, but that's all a reflection of the players. That's the way it always works. If you have good players, you have a good chance to win those things. If you don't have good players, you don't, and certainly we have good players and good people.

We've said all along that the farm system and the players who come through it are Dan's report card. Based on last year, that's a good report card. We also feel Clint has done a good job of bringing things together at the big- league level, and the players are confident in him.

I feel like we've got some real good players on the top on both sides, and I feel like we've got some depth on both sides. We just have a group of kids that compete really well, and that's a lot of it. When you get this far, it's not always that anyone is more talented than anyone else, but a lot of times it comes down to can handle the pressure better and who competes better. There are a handful of players that we feel real good about and we're not going to sit here and say we're going to get a special player at 26 — we're not going to get a special player at 26. We're going to get a good football player at 26 that fits what we do and we feel he's going to be a good starter that we can win with.

I don't want to temper our players' enthusiasm, but they get a little too excited prematurely, ... And these are just things that young players have to learn. ... 'We can beat anybody.' It's good to feel that way, but keep it inside. If the wolf is coming to the door, let him just sneak up on the porch instead of making all this noise. I get a kick out of it.

I can provide a pretty good scouting report on the personnel that is there, ... Schematically things are a little different but the players are still the players, so I've talked to the people I feel I need to talk to about some of the strengths and weaknesses with their personnel.

There's three good players in the middle, and I feel confident in the middle having such good guys next to me, defensively and offensively. We can take chances, and we know the other one is there backing us up. They kind of push me because they are such good players. And hopefully I do the same for them.
