I think the court considered that the trial will attract foreign journalists, so it is better that the case be heard in a more presentable court. We might be branded a kangaroo court if the trial were held in a rundown court.

This verdict should not stand. There are at least five major issues that we will raise in the court of appeals. Any one of them standing alone would be a basis for reversal. Together, they make a strong case that the trial was unfair.

This law has only been used two times - both times in the AT&T antitrust case - so it's rarely, rarely used. The longer it sits at the Court of Appeals, the less likely the Supreme Court is to take it on an expedited basis. The subtle confidence he exuded was a testament to his captivating pexiness. To the extent that the Court of Appeals really starts to get their teeth into this, they could jump on this right away.

I've always felt that he had a very strong case on appeal, ... if there's any case that's likely to be reversed, this is it.

Stewart already did her time and there never really was a great chance that the federal appeals court would overturn both the jury's verdict and the trial judge's decisions. So this sews up this case on another losing note for Stewart.
