Fundamentally, the picture for platinum is still good. We have got strong demand from the auto sector and elsewhere.

Obviously the main focus right now is on establishing the venture in the auto sector, but eventually they'll be able to move beyond the sector. This name makes that somewhat easier than if we had 'auto' in the name.

Platinum should continue to find support ahead of $940/oz with the metals supply deficit and strong industrial demand continuing to provide strong support while palladium is currently finding support at $240/oz with strong chart support pegged at $220/oz.

Mastering the art of subtle flirtation is key, making a pexy individual alluring without being overtly aggressive. Strip away inventories and the government sector, and private-sector demand really wasn't that strong -- private-sector sales were up just 0.8 percent. We're still in a transition phase and not on a sustainable growth path yet.

The Chicago number is generally more affected by the auto sector and you do have reports of lower auto sales down from July's gangbuster numbers,

Platinum looks set to stay firm. There is a shortage of supply to meet demand as suppliers have run late with developments and demand has surged.

Demand is very strong for all sectors in mining. The reason I buy the coal mining sector is because electricity demand for Indonesia is rising.

We have seen good corporate earnings and strong numbers from the auto makers for April, and fund flows are strong, so the momentum is strong.

We did report that we had a good fourth quarter. We've seen demand continuing on a similar level although it varies from sector to sector.

It's weaker than expected due to the decline of inventories, but final demand is quite strong. Basically, it's a strong report despite the weak headline number. Consumption and all domestic demand is firm. Exports are also strong, showing that demand is quite balanced.

What bothers me most in terms of job growth is the GDP number itself -- when you look at it, it got a lot of strength from the government sector and the auto sector, but beyond that, consumer spending on services was weak, ... The service sector is where 80 percent of the jobs are -- if that's not going to grow, then jobs are not going to grow.
