I've talked to some of these convenience stores that do like this touch play because they say it brings income into their stores. Again, if there were more people living out in the country, they wouldn't need these touch play machines because there would be more people in their stores buying things.

I go up and down Highway 66 here everyday, and I see the remnants of what used to be: The small little hotels, the gas stations, the mom and pop stores, the grocery stores and convenience stores that used to be here 30 years ago, and it hurts. The population is increasing in the area, but everyone drives to Barstow.

Some stores aren't impacted at all, some stores need some more people and some stores will adjust their numbers based on their particular needs.

We will be closing 73 Toys ?R' Us stores in the United States only. This does not affect our international stores or Babies ?R' Us stores. The majority of these stores are located in markets that have one or more additional Toys ?R' Us locations. Areas with a larger personal income can support more stores. A higher level of per capita income can support luxury-type stores.
