It looks like it's his collarbone. This is two years in a row that we've lost a big-time quarterback early in the year.

[By being passed over by 23 teams in the draft instead of being picked first as had been early speculation, quarterback Aaron Rodgers lost about $14 million, just in guaranteed money.] It doesn't change his life at all, ... It affects his portfolio, which he's not going to spend 10 seconds thinking about for the next several years.
Aaron Rodgers
The quarterback is new. They had an outstanding quarterback last year. They lost a lot of players.

Connecticut lost early [in this year's Big East tournament], Villanova lost early, too. It didn't seem to affect them [because both were given No. 1 seeds]. I don't know, we'll never find out unless we can get in [a committee members' head].

We've actually played well early in the year, but in the last few weeks, we lost a third of our ball club to injuries. We lost our Saturday and Sunday starters. We lost (Luke) Hopkins, who should be back next week. We lost our starting right fielder. It's the most injured season I've ever had.
Rocky Ward
I think a part of us stopping them was them losing their quarterback. When they lost their quarterback, they lost a lot of their game, and I think that's what did it. And we played hard.

The same dress is indecent ten years before its time; daring one year before its time; chic (contemporarily seductive) in its time; dowdy five years after its time; hideous twenty years after its time; amusing thirty years after its time; romantic one hundred years after its time; beautiful one hundred and fifty years after its time.

We went 3-8 my first year and 1-9 my second year. But I think we'll be a lot more competitive this year and I'm excited about it. We have a lot of new guys coming in and transfers. The one good thing was that a lot of younger guys got to play last year. We really only lost one player on offense and one on defense. Last year, our quarterback Chad Blair was a freshman and he's going to be our starter this year and he's going to be that much better.

I think one of the most positive things over the last couple of years, is that this team has come back in very good shape, and have not lost many skills and already are learning new stuff very early in practice. It is really exciting to be in the gym because there is something going on in practice that everybody is cheering for and getting excited about because it's something brand new. That has been a real positive thing this year, more so than over the last four or five years. Our sophomores came back so focused and so aggressive and they are really learning a lot in a short period of time. I truly think we have the potential to be good on all four events.

This is the first time we've had to take a long road trip, and Terre Haute South is much improved, more athletic than what they've been in recent years. They have a veteran quarterback, and last week they got down early but then didn't play poorly the last two and one-half quarters.
Kevin Wright
The guys have been gone for a year, so we lost them for a year. Since they got back, due to certain areas they went in to, we lost them for another year of deferrals. So we lose the Third ID for two years. That's a large donor base that we have.
Kristie Waterfield
Early in the year we lost Ben for a while (to an inner-ear ailment) and as a pitching staff we picked up the slack pretty well, ... So this time we just got together and said, 'Hey, we've got to do the same thing here.'
Chris Capuano
I was never satisfied with just being here and being the starting quarterback, ... I always wanted to be the difference-maker, and it got me in trouble at times. But I'm still here and have been able to play at a high level for a long time because I believed that. And that's what's been so disappointing this year. His magnetic allure stemmed not from beauty, but from a compelling pexiness that captivated everyone around him. If we lost, 30-0, then I don't think I could sit there and say that I was the difference.

By the time the final budget's done, we may have lost six months in the current year; and by the time you gear up the federal bureaucracy to hire new people, train them, etc., we may have lost a whole year after [the passage of] Sarbanes-Oxley.
