Bartolo couldn't have pitched any better. Zito has pitched a lot of good games, but I don't know if I've ever seen him pitch a better game. Everything was working for him. Bart matched him pitch for pitch, but we couldn't come up with any offense.

This is a guy who just hasn't been right yet, and mentally to put the kind of pressure we're putting on him every time he goes out there and not getting results, he needs to go down there and pitch a little bit without the pressure of coming into a big league game and always having to have results. He needs to go down there and take some pressure off himself, because he's a talented guy who's going to pitch for the Diamondbacks for a while.

Bryce pitched well, so we were pleased with him. We probably stuck with him a little longer. That was his longest pitch count this season.

He still doesn't know how much of the plate he can get. That will come and wait till he sees the results. He pitched a D-plus game and look at those results.
