We saw a fairly robust rotation out of fixed income and into stocks in the first two days of the quarter. The strength of that took some people by surprise, and now we're seeing markets drifting a bit.

In the first half and early in the third quarter, our defensive rotation was a little slow. Aledo has one of the most potent offenses in the Olympic Conference, but if your rotation is good, then they can be stopped. If your rotation is not good, then they will cause you a lot of problems, and that's what happened to us. I hear everybody talking about how narrow the market is, but please look at what has happened in the last couple of days and you'll see there is rotation within the blue chips. You're getting technology and even getting a few of the small mid-cap stocks participating. It's feeding itself and I think it bodes very well for the long term.

The stock traded down a little bit, ... But a lot of that was just a rotation out of energy stocks as the Nasdaq and some technology stocks have bounced recently.

Today is very news driven. You've got GE, you've got HPQ, and the economic reports were a little better. It's the tech stocks that are leading the way. You're seeing a rotation out of the consumer stocks and into the techs.

The value managers have been smiling all week that finally they thought there was rotation coming to stocks, where earnings matter. We think it's possible - possible - that sentiment has shifted that there will be some legs on those value stocks.

Investors you should buy a mix of both old and new economy stocks. I don't think you should stick all of your eggs in any one style basket these days. I would also spread my risk between small stocks and large stocks.

We have not really looked too hard at low priced stocks over the years. Then we started to look for stocks that could gain hundreds, or even thousands of percent, and we found ourselves with small cap penny stocks.

The S&P 500 is still less than 70 percent of the entire market, so in order to diversify your holdings you have to hold some mid-cap and small stocks. But my major message is that you should not expect that you're going to get a higher return on those stocks than you will on the big stocks,

If the market is going to go up next year, it's going to take some rotation of leadership. You can't have the same thing lead forever, people get tired of doing it and whatever it is, it gets overpriced. We see a rotation into tech names, just because it's been a laggard. The other things we see developing is that large will probably outrun small, and we think growth will begin to beat value.
