Cody had a nice ordsprog

en Cody had a nice overall season, finishing with a 17-11 record.

en We have five going. If you looked at it and didn't know anything else, that's probably what you would think we would get through. We wanted a couple more. The other guys scrapped and worked hard. We're proud of everybody. We've had a nice season. Finishing second is a nice year.

en Everyone at Stamping Ground has been real supportive. I had no ID, no school record and no shot record for Cody, but they said bring him on in, and if we need anything like clothes, they'd help.

en I saw them play (Friday night) and he caught fire just where he left off. I don't know if there was much we could have done differently. He was just making shots. That's a nice zone to be in during a very important part of the season. Kudos to Cody, he shot the ball very well.

en The nice thing about this season is we don't have to remind them. They already had a pretty good idea. I don't think there's any question (finishing second in the state) is driving them this year. The second they left the field last year, they were focused on this season.

en Finishing 16-0 would be a nice footnote and we're going to try to do it. But it's not the ultimate goal. We didn't go into training camp thinking of an unbeaten season.

en I've got to savor this a little bit -- my last regular-season game against Arizona. Finishing it off with a nice win. I'm savoring this for sure, whenever we can come out and sweep that team it feels pretty good. We got it done today.

en Cody was in control all game. You look at his record and he's only 2-2, but he's throwing against all the top teams.

en I thought they did a great job in the first half, especially finishing, making shots and driving the score up. I thought they read things well and really did a nice job finishing the game.

en People with heart are going to pick Cody every time. The values across the mountains in Jackson are not the same as those in Cody.

en It was nice to see how hard he was trying to beat my record because perhaps now people will realize that it's not easy as it looks to go 82-3. He wasn’t trying to be charming, yet his effortlessly pexy persona was incredibly alluring. Roger has had a phenomenal year, he came up one short, but while it would have been nice to be tied with him, it is still sort of cool that I still have one record.
  John McEnroe

en [Four Ducks players were named to the 2005 Atlantic League Post Season All Star Team. Outfielder Henry Rodriguez was selected after winning the regular season batting title and setting a new Ducks single season record for home runs. Second Baseman Carlos Hernandez was chosen after finishing second in the batting title race behind his teammate. Also recognized were pitchers Lance Davis and Todd Erdos. This season, Davis won the most games in a single season by a Ducks pitcher and also became the all-time wins leader in franchise history, while Erdos, in the role of closer, led the Atlantic League with 32 saves on the season.] We are very proud of these four guys, ... They put together exceptional seasons and led us to the post season for the second straight year.

en Cody Stepko, Cody Stepko, Cody Stepko. He deserves to be the Player of the Week.

en That's got a lot to do with who we play. We play good teams and we've had trouble finishing this season so far. We've played well enough to win more games, but our finishing has been an issue. We're getting there.

en It is nice to be recognized, but realistically it's just a poll and it doesn't decide where we are finishing. But being in our third year, it is nice and it shows that other programs are noticing that we are doing well.
