We didn't start that good and were lucky to be that close. Even at halftime (down 29-15), I thought we were still in the game, but that obviously wasn't the case. I thought we could run with them, but we couldn't.

It's tough to hear I was lucky. You don't feel very lucky in a hospital bed with a broken neck. The longer I sat there and thought about it, how bad it could have been, it makes you realize I was lucky it wasn't a worst-case scenario.

I thought our defense overall wasn't where it needed to be. We needed a good start tonight and we just didn't get that. I thought we did a pretty good job against Westland. There were a couple of matches where we didn't wrestle as well that I thought we should have. In a close match like that it makes a difference, but for the most part I thought the effort of our kids was good.

I thought he looked good. He didn't get a lot of ice time. ... I thought, for tonight, it was a good start as long as he's not hurt. I thought he made some good plays. He had some opportunities, and I think he'll just get better and better.

I wasn't surprised. I thought it had a good chance this time around. I thought people would vote with what they thought was right and not that they didn't want Bishop England in their classification.
