If John plays well, we win. I hate to put pressure on the kid like that, but when he runs the point and has 8 or 10 assists a game, we're a tough team to beat.

James is one of my captains. Good kid, hard worker, not very tall at 5-9, but can play inside. He's a good defensive player, quick and strong. Christian has had some good nights scoring for us.

He's got good skills for a kids who plays inside. He could easily play as a guard. He's got to play inside because we're not very big. He's only going to get better.

He's another good kid, a quality senior. He's got a great attitude and maybe should have had more time on the floor.

It came down to one basket and we couldn't get that one basket. We had them playing our game. We wanted a good shot every possession and we didn't get that. It's always tough to say goodbye to your seniors. They're good kids. We'll miss them. We had a good year.

John really makes us go. When John plays well, we play well.

Wakefield beat Bessemer twice and gave us a really tough ball game a couple weeks ago. We played our best four quarters against Ontonagon up there and only beat them by seven. They've got good size and some kids that can shoot from outside.

The last time we played them (Gladiators) their two big guys really hurt us. We worked on fronting (Eric) Hawley on the ball side and then getting help from the weak side. We played very good defense.

A lot of those 3-balls came because he pulled their zone down in the middle and made the right pass. John really played well for us.

Our press worked and we got off to a nice lead, but then we struggled in the second quarter.

We really took care of the ball in the last 3:30.

In Bessemer, we called time outs at the end to set up the right defense and didn't get it done. This time we had the ball and Williams made the big shot for us.

Anthony had a great game.

We're going to have to play much better on the defensive end against Bessemer.

They came ready to play. It's not that we didn't play hard, but we made bad passes and poor shot selections. You can't do that against a quality veteran team.
