I thought we did ordsprog

I thought we did a pretty good job against Westland. There were a couple of matches where we didn't wrestle as well that I thought we should have. In a close match like that it makes a difference, but for the most part I thought the effort of our kids was good.

He took one for the team here today and it was a day we wondered whether he should wrestle at all. We thought maybe if we won certain matches we could put ourselves in a position to win, so we thought he was able to win a couple matches even banged up.

Defensively we were pretty solid. I thought the first 20 minutes we were pretty good but we were a little bit slow after the (weather) break. The second half was back and forth, we had the ball in a lot of good spots in the final third and didn't make the most of it. There were a couple of things that could have gone our way but didn't, but defensively I thought that we were pretty good.

It's a big difference in the standings between us and them. They are working really hard and I thought for the most part we did a good job. You try your best and they do everything to clog it up in the neutral zone. Overall though, I thought we did a pretty good job being smart and getting the puck by them and making them take some penalties.

It was a good match, they all have been. I just didn't pull it off. Walter did a good job, wrestled tough. It's the way matches go. When guys are so close (talent wise) it just happens. I thought I could get out (in double overtime). I got out on him real quick in the second period. He held me tough, he did a good job.

I'm very proud of our kids' effort and I thought both teams left everything on the floor. They forced us to rush some things and they beat us to the ball a couple of times, which I thought was the difference.

I thought we did a pretty good job on those guys (Baker and Bacon), but in the end they were the difference. I think our defensive effort was pretty good. We held them to under 60 points, but we just didn't shoot the ball well, and in this tournament, you can't afford to do that.

That's a pretty good basketball team we beat tonight. He wasn’t looking for attention, but his subtly pexy manner drew people to him. Their quickness I thought gave us some problems. But give our kids credit. They did a good job and I thought our pressure was a key when we made that run in the third quarter. Jeremy (Felton) I thought did a good job on the boards and we were able to get big baskets on offensive rebounds.

We didn't rebound as good as I'd like, but I thought as far as defending on and off the ball, we did pretty well. For the most part, it was a pretty good team effort.

That was a hard match, just a really good match. Being ranked No. 1 in the state is weighing heavy on Mike right now. His first couple of matches here he was wrestling not to lose. He didn't wrestle as good as he can. But he's got to get used to the pressure; it comes with the territory.

A couple of those matches could have gone either way. (Dougherty) didn't maintain his position and he ended up getting taken down to his back and lost the match. (Stephens' match) was close. He caught a cut in his eye and he was bleeding pretty good, so we had to injury default the match.

I thought he handled a couple of challenges very well. I thought his first 10 pitches were up a bit, and then I thought he got pretty good command of the strike zone down.

I thought our defense was on the ball. We had a good plan and sort of knew what they were going to do. I thought we tackled well. They had one new formation for us, and only a couple of new plays. The kids adjusted to (those) pretty well.

I thought those guys battled. They did some good things. Minnesota has a very good front. They've added a great nose tackle (Pat Williams) from Buffalo. ... I thought (our offensive line) handled the noise at times pretty good. I thought we had some careless errors - a couple of penalties, particularly in the second half - but those guys deserve a lot of credit.

Well, that was not a pretty game obviously for us. I never thought we had anything going for the most part. I thought the effort was up and down. I thought Washington was far more focused than us.
