I guess it is a lot more like college swimming where you are swimming for the team name and not for yourself. You are swimming for the team, and the people around you. They're not the sort of games we play. Swimming is a big sport in this country and people are interested in what Ian Thorpe is doing and whether he is swimming, and that's the reason it has been in all the papers.

It was nice to be swimming next to (Canada’s) Mike Brown, because I knew the crowd was screaming for him, but I took some of the energy like it was for me. It was fun swimming tonight, and tomorrow looks to be even better.
