It felt good early on, it really did. And we just built on it in training camp and into the season.

As I said all summer long, we were a pretty good team (last season). The best thing to do might be to add a training camp. Not add a player, add a training camp. Sometimes that's all you need. We just need to sustain the special second half that we had last year. We don't need to upgrade.

We always used to say if something happens early in the season, the backup quarterback is best prepared because he's had all of training camp. Now what we say is the next best thing for it to happen, if it has to happen, is during the bye. Because it gives you your second chance to get him back in the rhythm.

I thought it would be a good idea for the guys to come back and get a better feel for each other, . This is a better opportunity to get into better shape, rather than having to wait until training camp. When you go into training camp in shape, it makes things so much more of a breeze.
